Can Black Women Fit into the World of Pop Music? Interview with Amplified

I was interview by Amplified to take a more in-depth look into passion and purpose and what the difference is between the two. I also shared my experiences as a black woman doing pop music.

With the change in the social climate, I have seen more representation of different faces in the media. This is wonderful, but the portrayal of diversity is not only visual, but also how people are presented. Often, the black woman, especially dark skin women, have been characterized in negative stereotypes.

Not only do we have a spectrum of shades, but also a wide variety of personalities, interests and taste.
